Brave The Day Mug Donation Campaign

Glaze: Industry: (We work with many different industries)

Laura

Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on the world, especially on the frontline workers who faced this challenge everyday.

Here at Deneen Pottery we wanted to find a way to honor those workers, so we focused on what we do best… We created a beautiful mug with a simple message: Brave the Day.

This may sound like a simple thing to do but DOING doesn’t always come so easy. We wanted to give to those that were GIVING their all day in and day out.

Through our Buy One, Give One program, we have donated over 500 of these mugs to the people who woke up every morning, poured their cups of coffee, and went out to Brave the Day in these difficult times.

We thank everyone who has purchased a Brave the Day mug to support our campaign, and here are some highlights from the donations we have made…

Keck Hospital COVID ICU – Los Angeles, CA

Brave the Day mugs at Keck Hospital in Los Angeles, CA were packed with pens, highlighters, and coffee as a gift for Nurses Week to honor those working in the COVID Intensive Care Unit. These nurses were truly fighting on the frontline of this pandemic and we thank them for all that they have done to help those COVID patients in the most need.

Regions Hospital – St. Paul, MN

A donation was made to Registered Dietitians at Regions Hospital here in St. Paul. This team worked directly with hospitalized COVID-19 patients to create nutrition plans for them, a crucial part of treatment for those fighting the virus. Thank you to these medical professionals for helping patients keep healthy enough to fight another day.

Some hometown heroes for us here in Saint Paul, MN!

RRR Transportation – Calhoun, GA

“Truckers have continued to get things where they need to go during these uncertain times…”

Our Brave the Day Campaign honors the many  different heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic! We sent some mugs out to RRR Transportation in Calhoun, Georgia. Truckers have continued to get things where they need to go during these uncertain times and we are happy to honor those who do this work with a nice mug for their morning coffee!

Our mugs are on the road!

Scott County Vaccination Center – Shakopee, MN

When president of the company Niles Deneen received his first dose of the COVID vaccine, he took some mugs out to the vaccination center with him. We appreciate all those who took their time to coordinate and vaccinate at these sites.

Army National Guard – Lansing, MI

A wife of a National Guard member in Lansing, MI reached out to us for donations to her husband’s army platoon. They had been testing and vaccinating in nursing homes, prisons, schools, and communities while living out of hotels throughout their duty. We were happy to give them a mug to carry with them throughout their travels and to honor the important work they’re doing!

York Garden Senior Living – Edina, MN

We also stopped by York Garden Senior Living to give some mugs to the workers there who have kept things running throughout the past year. It has been a tough time for senior care facilities and we are grateful for those who spend their days caring for the elders in our community.

Special Delivery! Niles Deneen drops off some mugs at York Garden Senior Living.

Once again, thank you to all those who purchased our Brave the Day mugs and helped us honor these everyday heroes. And thank you to the essential workers out there who braved the day through this past year. Here’s to a brighter day ahead!
